From Porn To Erotica and Beyond: The History and Evolution of Sexploitation Movies

Recently I found some boxes in storage that contained old issues of various porn and swingers magazine for which I used to write. As porn has had a liberalizing effect on society, I thought it appropriate to start off with my article titled From Porn To Erotica and Beyond: The History and Evolution of Sexploitation Movies from Inside X-Rated Video (February 1990). And there you have it. The porn stars of the swinging 1960s and '70s, and even the early '80s when I first became involved in the porn community were happy, naked people having fun. And they set the tone for porn at its best. That spirit continues to this day, I'm happy to say.

Seka. Rene Bond. Marilyn Chambers. Gloria Leonard. Harry Reems. Amber Lynn. Ginger Lynn. Samantha Strong. Taija Rae. Barbara Dare. John Holmes. Candida Royalle. Merle Michaels. Linda Lovelace. Nina Hartley. And many others. All contributed to freeing society from the constraints and restrictions on sex and relationships that limited who and how we, as a people, lived and loved. Today polyamory and open relationships thrive. That's a good thing. And one of the reasons for this blog is to help keep it that way.

One of my sign-offs for my articles in the porn and swingers magazines was "Now, get naked and have fun." I think I'll sign off with that here:
